this is not an actual composed piece, i just dumped the unfinished figure into the goblet while playing house with some unfinished pieces..
hopefully things will go well with the rest of this blown figure when i get the balls to continue working on it. its at about eight hours so far...

Craftsmanship. Technique. Intrigue. Form. Concept. non-conformity. All of these are values that I feel make one's work pertinent.
At times I concentrate on design and form, repeatedly producing a blown shape, aiming to create it with control and uniformity. I explore the nuances of each shape that I come across in the process. Other days I watch the glass and follow it's lead. However, without the ability to bring out symmetrical, balanced shapes at the torch I would feel no license to let the glass speak for itself or just hang where it may. I mean to express in my work a conscious and purposeful execution of these ideas.
