All of these Geodes are made whole, cooled down and then cut, polished, heated and re-worked. I always loved geodes as a kid and now I can make my own. I'm never quite sure what they are going to look like before I cut them open so it brings back some of my childhood excitement. A few of these have been posted before but I figured I have enough new ones to make a new catagory. 4"W x 3"H

Octopus, 10"W x 10"D x 4"H, I have made many Octopi but this is one of my favorites. It's nice when everything comes together smoothly.

I have been working with glass for about 11 years. I first started in my senior year at UC Santa Cruz as a Biology Major. About halfway through my senior year I got a basic lampworking setup and by the time I graduated I was making enough money to survive. Since then I have been working hard to build my studio, my knowledge, and to continually advance as a glassblower. My first few years I had very little influence from other glass artists and recently I have realized that there are a lot of talented and inspirational artists out there and I am glad I finally feel like I am becoming part of the glass community. Hi Tim!
Ben Burton here, I live on O'ahu and a friend of mine named Drika (sp?) says she knows you. I thought I'd give you a shout out from her. I also wanted to add that your work is amazing... If you're ever in the 808, or if you need a working vacation drop me a line.
Aloha No Ka Oi!

Good to know.
Good to know. Yeah Dricka is an old friend of mine and I've been planning on visiting her for a while. If I could make it a working vacation I would be totally stoked. Thanks for the offer. I'll let you know if I'm out that way. I'll keep you in mind too Jupiter. TL
