This piece is an abstract sculpted fern that has been sandblasted, electroformed, and oil painted. The back panel of the piece is a leaf print painting, using acrylic and organic mixed media. I focused on leaf relief and printing techniques towards the end of my senior year at scad, its good to go back to the canvas...Ive been wanting to push my work off of the table and onto the wall, and Im excited to see where this series ends up..Thanks to Luken, Mickelson and Fero for the inspiration.

Departure from the norm??
Good to see you go other places, while still capturing the true organic presence that has become the focus of your work. Very much not the same old thing from "Mr. I never make the same old thing..." Bet your thumbs are happy to be off the wheel, que no, bro?

i really like that.... you should try making a box or frame and cover it with a sheet of clear glass, with some kind of nature scene in there, that would be ill. lovin it.
