Yes.
In the Hot Shop and on the torch. for the torch work Emilio Santini teaches this method (using almost the exact same method as used in the hot shop.)

I've never used cane to trap the bubbles, only two points of contourax twisted opposite ways. Nice work on this, I'd be curious to learn how.. All the Italians mentioned, plus you could guess that a few hundred more whom we'll never even hear of.
