Ocean Inspired Beads from Jan "06"

(Glass Beads)

Ocean Inspired Beads from Jan "06" Here are a few more ocean inspired beads that I have created. I first started making these beads because I moved to Nevada and missed the ocean, now I am hooked. It took a long time for me to figure out how to make these but the outcome is well worth the effort to me. :o)

The other side of the bead has "closed anemones". The colors remind me of beaches up north where the water is cooler.

I have been working with glass for about 3 years.

Aside from borosilicate torch-work I enjoy sculptural ceramics, pottery, lapidary work, acrylic paints, and lost wax casting. I enjoy pretty much anything that I can visually express myself with, so I guess you could say that I am a multi-media artist. I am also currently enrolled and taking classes to get my Liberal Arts Degree.
