Aimee LePri
Aimee LePri grew up in the small town of Oxford, Connecticut. During her childhood her grandmother, Aimee Gallucci, was a very influential person in her life, always supporting her dreams and aspirations. She attended many art classes wanting to someday be an artist like her father. In High School she expanded her basic knowledge of art and studied art history, sculpting, ceramics, photography, fine arts, and graphic design, excelling in everything she did. Upon her graduation in 2001 she was presented with her schools coveted Art Excellence award. In 2003 she embarked on her journey of glass art at Blythe Studio in Lancaster PA. Her instructor, soft glass artist Ryan Blythe, studied under Dale Chihuly and many other noted Italian glass artists. Fueled by the desire to expand her knowledge of glass art she started lampworking with borosilicate glass. In the fall of 2004 she spent time in Europe studying European artists and their influences in art history. Three years later she finds herself in her present studio with her partner and ongoing instructor, borosilicate glass artist Paul Katherman. She currently works on her art full time while actively raising her 2 year old son. Her artwork is sold in select gallery's and can also be purchased wholesale on eBay by searching AL BORO. She loves creating unique artistic jewelry and just recently started making marbles also. She plans to continuing working on her marbles and eventually will be putting together some collaborative sculptural pieces with Paul Katherman. Aimee is excited to continue to passionately pursue her lifelong dream, and see where the path of life takes her.

"It is a trance that the torch plays with my head, a meditation back into the essence of another time.
My artwork is a conduit for me, my memories, and my emotions." ~Aimee LePri
