Glass and Ceramics

Posted by MicahEvans on 1/23/2006
I have been working with Bonnie Seeman, the ceramics Professor at the University of Miami, helping her with glass pieces to add to her amazing ceramics. These are not collaborations, I am given a design, then I develop prototypes and then final pieces. I just thought I would share the pictures of her work with her permission of course. I made her pomegranet seeds for a lot of her work and I just started making ribcages and muscle strands as well. the glass is very small scale, the largest pot is 12 inches tall max.

Makes me wish that SOFA rolled around more often.. Way to marry those mediums, delicious. Just don't get any pomegranate juice on your sweater, eh?

I love it !
Wow Micah, Not at all what I expected to see. I love it though. Its really hard to tell which parts are glass and which are ceramic. A nice rim back light would be nice on the subject to make it pop off the background a bit(just my 2cents). Overall I think the design and craftsmanship are top notch.
