Glass and Ceramics

Posted by Micah Evans on 1/23/2006
I have been working with Bonnie Seeman, the ceramics Professor at the University of Miami, helping her with glass pieces to add to her amazing ceramics. These are not collaborations, I am given a design, then I develop prototypes and then final pieces. I just thought I would share the pictures of her work with her permission of course. I made her pomegranet seeds for a lot of her work and I just started making ribcages and muscle strands as well. the glass is very small scale, the largest pot is 12 inches tall max.

    I love it !
Matt Hess: Wow Micah, Not at all what I expected to see. I love it though. Its really hard to tell which parts are glass and which are ceramic. A nice rim back light would be nice on the subject to make it pop off the background a bit(just my 2cents). Overall I think the design and craftsmanship are top notch.
