Dichroic laminated glass sculptures exploring color-shifting inter-reflectivity within geometric forms like pyramids and "prisms".
|
Dichroic laminated glass made into geometric sculptures for color-changing light reflection/transmission FX. All cold worked, bonded with Loctite 352 using a 1500 watt American Ultraviolet Porta-Cure lamp (awesome lamp-even surface cures the UV adhesive dry to touch in 5 seconds).

Thanks for visiting my gallery! Yes, Dichrolam is a new product on the market, but it is not marketed into the art glass market (architectural spec only). It is only available as laminated glass like DS+DS or thicker, with the dichro in the core layer of resin. It can NOT be fused in a kiln (max temp is 200F), just cold worked, and UV glued, but not on edges, unless masked.
Its great to show my work here among such excellent glass artists - really inspiring.

design
do your pieces begin mainly as explorations in form, or are the color interactions the main focus?
