Here's one of the 6-Siders I made on my birthday last week. It has 2 colors of DA Starship (Blue and Red/Orange) on a Cobalt core, with Carmel, Blue Metal, Mellinium Moss, and Bronze Sparkle Pinwheels around each Galaxy. It is 1-7/16" and is signed HAM7/31/07.

Here's the other 6-Sider from my 28th birthday. It has 2 colors of DA starship (Blue and Red/Orange) and 1 color of CBS Rainbow Splinter (Pink) on a Cobalt core with a total of 28 Carmel dots and 28 Aventurine dots (Blue Metal, Mellinium Moss, Bronze Sparkle, and Disco Sparkle) Pinwheeled and Layered. It is 1-7/16" and is signed HAM7/31/07.

Here's a hand full of new ones from the past week of so. I've been trying some new things in the studio and these are the results. I haven't worked with tubing in a while and had a real good time with it this week. I tried to make my 1st Ratty, I don't really know how to, but I like the way it looks. Everything was made with clear glass, 24k Gold and .999 Silver. I'll probably have a few up on ebay in a day or two.

This was made while I was on vacation a couple of weeks ago in NC. I was lucky enough to be staying near 2 very talanted glass artists, Shannon Norrris and Erin Cartee of Fireworx Glass. They were kind enough to invite me into their home and studio to hang out, eat good food, talk shop, & spend a little time on the torch. Each of us made a window; Erin did the written implosion, Shannon did the bowtie, and I made the ratty. Shannon pieced the whole thing togather and added the surface decoration, which includes some pinwheels and 3 X's on 2 sides of the marble. I had a great time hanging out and hope to do it again durring our next trip back.

I thought that I might go ahead and lay them all out on the table.
Somewhere between the O.C. Marble show and the birth of my daughter, I came to realize that I need to take my work in a new derection. As most say-at-home parents can tell you, it's hard to find enough time to take a shower or do piecework for that matter. So experimentation can become very trying...and expensive!
So after trying several different methods, some good some not so, I found what I was looking for. I hope that you all enjoy this look into the evolution of my new marbles.
