Flameworked orchids by Frabel Studio at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. This is a great show, with some amazingly talented artists. If you are in or near the Atlanta area, you should definitely go check it out. I apologize about some of the glare in the pictures, most of the work was under acrylic, and made it really hard to photograph. There were also large mosaic sculpture by Niki de Saint Phalle, all through out the garden.

I got to spend some time in Penland this summer, and these cups spawned afterwards. Thanks to Scott Darlington, Emilio Santini, and Chris Mcelroy for the inspiration.

Layers of powder is melted in and the last layer is sprinkled on to give rough texture, reminiscent of sand.

This is some work from this past winter and early spring. I have not been contributing much to this site lately, but I've been busy with a new baby. This page will be a little random, but these are pics from the tusk, baskets, and driftwood series. Some are vessel study on Form and texture. The powders are layers of the Exotics and Amazon familly. Hope you guys enjoy and thanks for looking.

Hey!!!
It's Randy, remember me? I bought your oxygen tanks way back when I got started. I'm moving (back) to Oregon next week, I'd love to see this exhibit before I head back. How have you been? Do you know how to get in touch with Patrick or has he just flat-out disappeared?
