Elio Quarisa and George Kennard

Elio Quarisa and George Kennard

Elio Quarisa and George Kennard at Corning putting together a giant candelabra in the hot shop. The energy was intense and the foot and cup cracked, so they lost this one. However after lunch George started an entire new matching piece without Elio and succesfully got it into the annealer with the help of students in the the workshop. You had to be there to really gauge the size of this monstrosity!!! Amazing! Enjoy the pics. Steve Gelb

Robert Mickelsen workshop at buttermilk studios in ithaca

Heres the pics from the 5day Mickelsen workshop here at Buttermilk studios in Ithaca NY. After the work we installed our pieces in a beautiful local gallery. most of the shots are from the gallery and some studio work, but unfortunatly I cant post the best pics because they are large TIFF images for slides and take too long to load. I hope you enjoy these though. everyone had fun and got freaky with the glass. Extra special thanks to: Wessex-Bristol gallery, Northstar, Brad Laforge for clearstock at a moments notice, Paul troutman for the Elvis, and of course Robert and everyone who participated...see you next year.
