The Making of Argyle A Chair in the Making

This piece was commissioned by the YWCA in Williamsport, PA for their Chair-ity auction. I have based the design on a high backed chair design of turn-of-the-century Art Nouveau furniture artist and acrhitect Charles Renee Mactintosh. Mr. Macintosh has always been an inspiration to my work. So my take on his chair design, hopefully, pays him the utmost respect.

Five layers of hand rubbed Tung Oil make the wood come alive with shimmering curl. And the purple fused Dicroic glass is not too bad either.
