Get TWISTED!!!

Get TWISTED!!!

Here's a new twist on the Window Series - Twisted Windows Marbles!!! 2 sided marbles, one side is a wigwag window exposing a second layer of design.

With this series I tried to do away with the conventional front/back relationship as well as the traditional 'circular' lens borders. My goal was to give the marble mostion and make it more interactive.

WindowSeries #3

WindowSeries #3

This series I utilize a clear window in a reversal to expose a 2nd layer of patterns under it, such as a honeycomb, a sheet of dichro, or a dichro galaxy swirl. Marble shown here is in my private collection. Thanks to J. Bizzano for the honeycomb demos and the photography tips while I was in Ohio.

WindowSeries #12 (& 2 Bonus Windows)

WindowSeries #12 (& 2 Bonus Windows)

Here is #12 in the series, and two that were made the same day. The last two had lens flaws, so they are not part of the numbered series. They are still worth checking out, so I added them in at the end...Thanks for looking!

WindowSeries #9

WindowSeries #9

WindowScene_09 - This series I utilize a clear window in a reversal pattern to expose a 2nd layer of patterns under it such as; a honeycomb, an opal, a vortex, or dichro.

2” diameter. This marble was made with a Midnight, Acid Yellow, and Teal wigwag reversal with a clear window, which exposes the CBS Rainbow Dichro Galaxy behind it. Turn the marble over and you are greeted by a large marquee Gilson White Opal centered in a stylish Orange Crayon and Amber pinwheel pattern. A pattern of twisted and raked dots of Acid Yellow and Amber borders the front window. Signed and dated by the artist, "NM-06, WS09" (WindowSeries#9).

Window Scene Series #1 and #2

Window Scene Series #1 and #2

Here's 2 marbles that started a series I've been working on lately using a clear window in a reversal to expose a 2nd layer of patterns under it, such as a honeycomb, a sheet of dichro, or a dichro galaxy swirl. Pics do no justice to the dichro. These are the first ones, created over the last few months. Some of them checked/cracked, and all of these shown here are in my private collection.

Nathan has spent the last few years traveling from coast to coast in search of new inspirations for his work. Coming from a graphic arts background he was searching for a more expressive medium for his art. A few years back he had the chance to play with molten glass, instantly realizing that he found a new medium with infinite possibilities for artistic expression. Nathan's style uses colors that represent emotion. Color relationships that play on core human emotions such as Anxiety, Fear, Surprise, Disgust, Sadness and Happiness.
