Thank you for taking the time to check out this gallery. I spent my childhood in Grand Haven, Michigan. Shortly after earning a BA in film and video production from Grand Valley State University I realized that there was no way I was going to be able to express myself as an individual in the all consuming world of film. A desire to escape the influences of city life led my wife and I to the Blue Ridge Mountains of southern Virginia. Fortunately the art of lamworked glass found me. Over the past 7 years I have spent many hours trying to decifer the language of glass, figuring out why glass appeals to me, and how I can make it my own. I feel blessed to be working in such a limitless medium and hope to continue to do so for many years. I hope you like my creations. Blessings, Kenan

Northwestern Glassworks:
I got the basics on how to blow glass from a friend 6 years ago. Real general type stuff. I have worked alone for the vast majority of the last 6 years. So, trial and error has been my schooling.
