half dozen flowers

march 2006
Made these for a friend's 6 year anniversary. The pics were kinda rushed, I didn't have enough time to set up the photo studio quite how I wanted to but my friend had to take them ASAP. This was my first time making a bunch of them and seeing them together. I liked it and wanna make some more series of flowers.

hanging flower sculpture

My first post after a long hiatus. This was a lot of fun. It can sit on a flat surface or hang on a wall. The stem is aqua w/ some gold fume. I'll post some pics of it hanging soon... It measures 8 inches tall by 4.75 inches wide by 4.5 inches deep.

abstract hanging sculpture

I made this piece in mid-September of 2003. 11.5 inches wide by 14.5 inches tall. Making this piece was a real challenge size wise. It just barely fit in my kiln. In fact, it would only fit if positioned at one exact angle with one certain side facing up. Entire piece was made with clear rod and then fumed silver. I'm planning on constructing a stand for it soon.

Jessica Landau: that i don't know what to do...nice work!! your perspective on flowers seems really fresh and i like how you captured them in different stages of bloom in the half dozen piece. also the abstract sculpture is sick!
