Giant Flowers

Giant Flowers

Posted by EugeneRain on 11/6/2005
We were told that it was impossible to make large flower marbles (over 2 inches) with the same technique we use for all our flower marbles. I guess we don’t listen very well…hehe.

Misha’s career started off with people telling her that women do not belong in glass, it’s impossible for her to make it in this field. Matt’s career started off with people telling him he didn’t have what it takes because of his disability, that it was impossible for him to make it in this field.

Our past has conditioned us into believing that anything is possible with borosilicate. We may not always have the equipment it takes to make something we imagine, but people can, and people will. This is just another one of those reminders for people to get out there and bust their butts, do what you imagine, it IS possible.

Giant Flower #1

Giant Flower #1

2.6 inches - $185 - sold

This color combination softens this marble up and creates a really natural look and feeling. Although this one is a little smaller it makes up for it with its fine detail.

Shown next to a marble that is 1.6 inches for size reference.
