Spokane's first public lampworking studio offering professional instruction at affordable rates. William Hagy, the sole founder the Northwest glass Society open the doors in Aug '05 to offer a central hub for glass artists, students, and for those whom simply have a passion for glass.William Hagy served the community of eastern Washington on the faculty of Spokane Art School teaching and instructing people of all ages the traditional art of lampworking for a good part of the past decade. As the years passed and time went on,art programs began to flourish and studio space became difficult to obtain there was a much needed change for students as well as lampworkers in the Spokane area. For those that have struggled, gone without and faced the impossible you all know the amount of time and energy that goes into building your own studio so we have continued to offer rental time in the lampworking studio as well as our newly formed hot shop furnace studio.

This is a few shots from the Arbor Crest winery show last month, aside from years past when it was a glass only show this year had been opened up to fine art of all levels so it made it little more inviting for those interested in art on all levels of media,so if there is any of you that would like to know more about the show (jury info etc.) feel free to contact me or you can become a member of the Nortwest Glass Society to stay up to date on future shows, education, studio events and networking.....~W~

Nice
You have some really great stuff here! Thanks for the kind words on my crystal furnace goblets. I used to have the same problems that you seem to have getting the clear stuff to show up well in pics(especially when there is also color involved) and have figured out a couple of very effective tricks. Drop me a line if you want. info(at)davidsglass.com D
