BOTTLE STOPPERS

BOTTLE STOPPERS

Here is one of my bottle stoppers. These have been my focus for the last few years and I love em but have recently shifted my focus to the marble world.

Credit for the sick bottoms must be given to Jeff Rogers. He mounts these with system he created.

Close Up's and Patterns

Close Up's and Patterns

This page is a place to show some of my favorite shots of pattern and close ups. I love the close up's. The photography is art in itself. Some day I would like to design a book of close up's and patterns.

MUG

MUG

I am 29 and have been working glass since 97. With a year off somewhere between that was not by choice but by circumstance. I got a 9 year old little girl and I live in PALO ALTO, California. I have worked mostly by myself and I seem to like it. I do enjoy the company of other glass artist but it seems to be hard to find the people to work with day in and day out. I have worked with and trained many people over the years but find I always end up in some sort of pain over the relationship. Is it just me ? And so I work alone.

PAPERWEIGHTS

PAPERWEIGHTS

Lightening by Travis Weber! This is not a marble and was flattened on one side. This one went to my girlfriend! I couldn't say no! I am never able to keep my own work. I alway give in and sell. So I learn when I give them to her ,I keep them in a round about way.

PUBLICATIONS

PUBLICATIONS

Last Month I did and article for GlassLine Magazine. It was the October/ November 2006 issue. It was fun to do and it is a great feeling to have the oportunity to share what I do. In the future, I would love the oportunity
to put together some more articles.

SIGNATURE FOR 2006

SIGNATURE FOR 2006

TAKE A LOOK!! This signature says the same thing upside down or right side up.I think it works well for marbles because they are looked at from many angles.I have been working on this for a while. I came up with about 10 but the trouble is that it's hard. Getting it to work is one thing and getting to look semi decent is another. Then signing it with a ti pen. Fun Stuff! I hope to make new ones every year to keep them fresh. I am sure I will learn more and get better at writing AMBIGRAMS. For more interests check out www.johnlangdon.net for the master!!

TECHNIQUE IS CHEAP!

TECHNIQUE IS CHEAP!

This is a spiral technique I found. It helped me speed up production and reproduce color scemes that worked well. I do know if others are doing this. I have shown a few people before. They liked it so thought others might appreciate the concept. When I found colors that worked well I could save a piece of the cane stock for future reference. Don't be shy on the color because it gets pulled down so much. You can get like 20 pendants if you want for one cane. Try some dicro. The bigger the cane the easier it is to do.. Also the most important thing is a nice a clean cut on the edge. Weld them together very gently to not mash the clipping into the clear rod. When pulling the termination for the center of the spiral you must pull it nice and tight in order to keep the color. It does take some practice.
