"Posting Glass Pipes on GlassArtists.org
----------------------------------------
Because non-functional pipe pieces have started to crop up I have further clarified the "no pipes" rule for GlassArtists.org. Functional pipe pieces may not be posted, and non-functional pipe art is allowed. A
non-functional pipe is one that is either impossible or would be very difficult to actually use as a smoking device, one that is a part of a larger art piece, or one that is so large, awkward, or otherwise impractical that it's very unlikely that it's owner would ever consider using it as a smoking device. I think to most of you who make pipes this distinction should be fairly clear but if you have a true borderline case let me know and I will consider it. Please note that I will not make an
exception just because a pipe is especially elaborate, beautiful, expensive or artistic, as long as it looks like it COULD be used as a
functional piece." -from site admin

No Competition
Glad you showed up on my gallery again Liqiud, cuz your the only one who has personally attacked me, and you never responded when slinger challenged what you said. I am curious... who the hell you are? I mean, you took it upon your self to call me out as being a "cocky arogant SOB..." blah blah blah... I am "an asshole whose work isnt half as cool as i think it is" blah blah blah " i "give the word art a bad mname" blah blah blah. So step up to the plate... Where is your gallery of pics??? Did you just sign up for a name? you say..." I havent posted in months because i have been more occupied with furthering my own world. and to be honest i dont wanna hear oh your biting off this guys style when ive been doing that tech for 3 years now!!
Some of us wont post unless it is absolutly the newest tech style and cutting edge color, That is the pride we hold within ourselves." lets see some of this revolutionary work that you make... wait... your name leads to an empty gallery...
It is funny cuz your last sentance in your main post is this: "I just hope we are all careful with how we project our attitudes and feelings towards visitors and participants alike, otherwise it may not be so popular anymore." and then you go off on me!??!.. ... just to let me know how much you think i suck???? It is funny that YOU make points like "It is called CONSTRUCTIVE Criticism, not objective scrutiny." and then go off on personal attacks... So i am just curious... What the fuck? who the hell are you??? Are you just a hipocrit or the president of the "I hate Pakoh Anit-fan club"???

Thankks joe
thanks for sharing your story Joe. Glad you came around... For the record... i dont think pipes are dead. ... a wise man once said... "For me, glass is an OUTLET for artistic expression. Whether Im making "art"or not. I think for most of us, pipes really do express our feelings, our passions. How many of us would even be blowing glass if it were't for pipes? What would we be doing without the great vehicle the pipe has become for expressing ourselves?"

that was me......
Hey pakoh, thanks for quoting me.(and calling me a wise man.hehehe) What Joe said is indicative of alot of people. It doesnt matter initially what the reaction is....its that you are getting reactions out of people. Im sure alot of people dont want to see a pipe here, but youve got all of them scratching their heads and asking themselves a question.....I think we will all look back at this art/pipe debate in a couple years and laugh, and we(I) will be giving alot of the credit to you.
