(Stained Glass Lamps)

Glass - Agate-Lamps Category with some of my best Spectrum and Uroboros Glass-Agate-Lamps. The picture here shows the frontside of lighted Lamp Red Cat.
This light fixtures are around 600 mm high and they are thought to light a niche may be with a murual painting or mosaic. Imaginable are they also as stalacmite hanginging from the blanket.

Dolphin Lamp

Dolphin Lamp

The inimitable Dolphin Lamp is made
out of one piece of Spectrum Baroque glass. The disk has to be cut into thin, long stripes and grindet to mitre to build the column with the ongoing pattern. The 5.5 mm thick brown agate slice on the top of this lamp looked at me like a dolphin and gave the lamp its name. The lamp is 577 mm (22 3/4 inch) high, has a width of 178 mm and a depth of 125 mm.

Lamp Black Magic Candlelight

Lamp Black Magic Candlelight

The “magic” at this lamp is hidden in the top surface of the Lamp Black Magic Candlelight.
This part is made out of a long, elliptical agate slice and a very dark red and blue two pieces glass plate with
a continuous pattern. Because all three parts lieing in an own level and the line under the agate points in the same level as the agate, so your eye like to see the whole part as even.
Seeing the angel at the upper line irritates the brain and now it can not decide the right sight, so it comes up with an effect like the sights are jittering around the surface.

The six particles of the lamps column are broken out of one black and white Spectrum Baroque glass plate, grinded and set together as a body with its continuous patterns.

There are extra great and special near taken pictures of this lamp and its effects. The last picture shows a detail of the Lamp Black Magic Candlelight with a "Zentimertermass" as your benchmark for the dimensions of my seams and as my definition of "ongoing pattern".

Lamp Black Smoker

Lamp Black Smoker

The lamp Black Smoker is made out of one plate of spectrum glass. This was cut into long small stripes grinded to mitre and bulid together exactly. The last picture shows the glass plate before the cut.

The beautiful agate disk shows an expressional sample, that helped me together with the "black smoked" spectrum glass disk to find the name.

Lamp Bloody Mary

Lamp Bloody Mary

The column of the Lamp Bloody Mary has ten parts and is made out of a red and white Spectrum glass sheet. As you can see the body is build together without any faults in the pattern.

The big, nearly round, agate slice has three agate circles (caramel coloured) separated by two crystal parts (clear) and in the middle a little hole. The diameter of the polished agate slice is 7 inch and the object is 2 feet high.

Lamp Little Cat

Lamp Little Cat

Lamp Little Cat

This agate-glass lamp is 592 mm high and its tallest stripes are 22 mm width, by a height of over 550 mm. The polished agate slice has a diameter of 127 mm and is 5 mm thick.

There are strong lines in the ongoing pattern of this glass sheet and some aspects the camera can’t show you. But in picture one you can see a little of this RED in the upper left side of the column. The black in this glass is very, very dark red and only lighted you can see that darkest red.

This is the second Lamp in my series of cat lamps, and when you want to know why I named it cat please look at the Lamp Red Cat in this directory.

Lamp Seminoles

Lamp Seminoles

The columne of this lamp is 600mm high and made out of one disc Sectrum glass.

The agate slice on its top reminds me of the FSU logo. I am a fan of the Seminoles and their great coach Bobby Bowden.

Lamp Tall Blue

Lamp Tall Blue

You can see a black clear agate slice on the Top of my newest Lamp Tall Blue. The clear part has a bubble-pattern with a black island in the middle. This slice is cut from the same stone as the slice in the Lamp Big Blue. You also can see this lamp in one of the other galleries here.

The Lamp Tall Blue is made out of one piece of blue white clear Spectrum Baroque glass plate BR/603, it is cut into nine stripes and them were grind to mitre (not only bevel edged). Therefore it shows this perfect, ongoing blue white pattern on its tall body.

The tallest stripe is 26,5 mm width by 554 mm height. Although its great polished Agate slice is 7 mm thick and this glass can be over 4 mm thick the seams on my lamp are only about 3 to 4 mm. .
Only this extreme accuracy on an imprecision glass material like this double leaded Baroque glass can makes this real.

The Lamp is 624 mm high, only 125 mm width and on the base 114 mm deep;

the agate slice is 123 mm width with 166 mm height and 7 mm thick.

Lamp Big Blue

Lamp Big Blue

The columne of this Lamp is made
out of one Spectrum Baroque BR/603-9 glass plate and a polished agate slice. This lamp is over 600 mm high and the agate slice is nearly 7 mm thick. The last picture shows the complete glass plate.

Lamp Red Cat

Lamp Red Cat

The columns shaft of this lamp is made out of one black white and clear Spectrum Baroque glass disk, which is cut into small, long stripes. The object got its name from its form, which reminds me of an up straight sitting cat (the agate with two pointed ears, the glass column with it's line), the red comes from the red dot in the middle of the agate disk.
Mass of the object

height: 575mm (22 1/2 Inches), width: 148 mm, depth: 140 mm

Diameter of the agate disk approx. 137mm and this with a thickness of 6 mm

Lamp Sea Lily

Lamp Sea Lily

The Lamp Sea Lily is made out of one blue and green on allmost white Uroboros Streaky glass plate.

The polished agate stone on it's top shows a big depth. This and the only 2 mm staff seam
around this light fixture let it's seemed so that they were ever together.

The object is a little bit higher than 600 mm.
