I recently visited South Africa. What a beautiful place. I was there for three months and I spent two weeks in Pretoria, Gauteng. These photos are from a project I did at Tschwane Tech university in Pretoria. I blew glass, did a few slide talks and did some demos about found object art. Thanks to Martli, the head of their glass department. She is the only person teaching glassblowing over there and she is very cool.

These are some pictures of my buddy Cheyenne. He died on March 18th 2007. He was a great friend and an awesome glassblower. We studied together at Mass College of Art, worked together at Diablo Glass and Metal, hung out and partied a lot together during 2002-2004. He went on to study glass in the czech republic and work at mad river glass in VT. He posted here under "shiny".
