Josh began his lampworking career in 2001 after moving to Jacksonville Beach, Fl from Seattle, Wa with his wife Bradi. Just blocks from the Atlantic ocean, Josh and his two business partners Lance Sanford and Micah Evans began Lucid Visions glass art. Josh has had some new inspiration with the birth of his daughter; Kelsi. He hopes to capture some of the playfulness and simplicity that he witnesses in his daughter and capture it in his work. Josh can be contacted by e-mail: lucidvisions@clearwire.net

Some of the sets that I've been working on. I truly love the varied designs that can be accomplished with drinking vessels. There is an endless amount of possibilities that can be realized when creating stemware.

I've definately loved working with a more free form of sculpture and color with theses pieces. Taking advantage of powdered glass with it's very "natural" color palate has started a spark, if not a fire.

Sandblasting and painting pieces is a great way to concentrate on form. There are no worries about the actual pattern or color scheme while working the piece within the flame. The painted look gives a great glow and a soft feel when viewed.

This show is one that we are involved in every year. It benefits loggerhead sea turtles and the patrol that cares for their nests in the region. It is held at First St. Gallery in Atlantic Beach Fl.

These sculptures "took root" after completing my first large tree with me saying,"never again." For some reason though I now enjoy the process it takes to make them. They hold some sort of organic spontaneity while you're in the process of making them. I hope you enjoy!

Jellyfish paperweights. These become a controlled chaos of heat and gravity when being made on a torch.
