Collaborational projects within or studio allows us to produce larger and more complex designs. Cutting down time and focusing on individual strengths within a design helps to make these pieces possible.
Made during and after the Steve Sizelove workshop we had at our studio and the Mickelsen metals workshop Josh attended. We tried incorporated some techniques from both workshops. All solid color blowouts and copper leafed avolios. We had some interesting problems to solve with this goblet. Thanks Robin and Steve!

All of us at Lucid Visions believe that the lighting of a glass art piece can truly make it that much more spectacular and moving to the viewer. We have begun to explore how to best join together these two elements, and are having a great time designing and making these functional works of art. This exploration into light and glass has provided us with a look in a new direction to lampworking.

Lance and Josh came up with this series pretty much by accident while just playing around in the studio one weekend. Blending the tedious detail of Josh's work with the whimsical innocence of Lance's, the "Trees and Youth" series aims to capture the magical relationsip we had with trees when we were kids.
