Julie Leatherbarrow's Gallery

I was introduced to the art of glass while living in Eugene, Oregon in 1997. By February of 1999, I was learning how to work the material and it has been my full time job ever since. What I am best known for is my stone encasements. Since 2000, I have been embedding different stones in my glass such as meteorites, crystals, and gemstones. The following photos are an example of my work. For a more in depth view, please see my web site, leatherbarrowglasswerks.com Thank you for your interest!

BANGLE BRACELETS

BANGLE BRACELETS

Bangle bracelets are flameworked solid glass, made on a sized mandrel for that perfect fit. They slide over the hand and rest comfortably and safely on the wrist. They are available with stone encasements. These are a wholesale only item. I will be happy to choose a variety of sizes and colors to suit your boutique or gallery.

My class with Emilio Santini

My class with Emilio Santini

In January of 2006, I was fortunate enough to be accepted to the Corning Studio of Glass to take a class with Emilio Santini. He is not just a fine glass artist, but a really nice guy to boot. All of the students were helpful and shared techniques. So far, it has been the best experience that I have had in seven years as a glass artist. Thanks Emilio and thanks to Corning for the opportinity!

Sweet!
I love the design of those bracelets, nice to see some that will fit such a wide variety of wrists.

I had no idea so many stones could be set in boro, very impressive. I look forward to checking out the moonstone and cyanite in person next time I see you Julie.
