(Boro/Borosilicate/Pyrex Glass Beads)

Galaxy Beads of 2005 These beads are some of the Galaxy series beads I have made. Most are made with a GA Raven or NS black hole base with silver and silver fumes twisted together to form "galaxies". They were made in 2005.

These beads were made from GA raven and disco sparkle. I also tossed in some silver for "stars", "planets", etc.....

GA Raven is my favorite back drop for these beads. It stays a true black.

This bead almost looks to me like a planet with rings and a moon around it.

I used Disco Sparkle in these beads for a little extra "twinkle." I have found that if you pre-mix this color it sparkles even more and actually has a creamy, nicer consistency.

I used extra light yellow as well as silver in this set. I struck them in the kiln to bring out the color of the extra light yellow at 1175 F. The smaller beads are amazon bronze based, and create fushia undertones under the ex light yellow.

I have been working with glass for about 3 years.

Aside from borosilicate torch-work I enjoy sculptural ceramics, pottery, lapidary work, acrylic paints, and lost wax casting. I enjoy pretty much anything that I can visually express myself with, so I guess you could say that I am a multi-media artist. I am also currently enrolled and taking classes to get my Liberal Arts Degree.
