I have been blowing glass for three and a half years, and have worked with David Garcia for two and a half years, and I am greatful for all of his help. I've just finished a two week incalmo class with Dan Cutrone at Penland. I took my first intro classes at Pacific Northwest College of Arts. I've taken lessons from John Morris, Mathew Stewart, Jeremie Draper, and A two day class from Dave Schwarz. I work with Mathew Stewart every chance I get, and have been fortunate enough to work with Dave Schwarz a few times. I love glass and hope that I never stop learning. Please feel free to message me with any comments, or questions that you might have. If you are interested in purchasing anything please contact me at jamesbalesglass@yahoo.com Thanks for looking, James

This was my first real experiment with using only the hand rag (wet newspaper). This is a form that I keep playing with, and am starting to have better results.

This piece is 8" tall by 6 1/2" wide. The overlay was Garnet, but didn't strike as well as I think it could have.
