2. Reeds

The reeds i have been making lately are completely Florida. Growing up in the foothills of the Cascade mountains in Washington state I was used to pine and sage. In Florida the plants are lush and constanly growing, the humid air and sun feed a constanly changing and blossoming ecosystem that I found rewarding to explore in glass.

The colors on these glow on a black background, the tallest is almost 20 inches. I later added inserts, kind of tenticals coming out of them. They were originally ment to be a grouping but looked better on their own!
