14-15 sticks make a good pattern for 50x2.3mm tubing...
Nippers for even rods and clean ends. Hose Clamp, screwdriver, and 1-1/8" Wooden Dowel and a few rubber bands. Kevlar or Deans Sleeves are nice.
Wrap the sticks of color on the dowel under the rubber bands...
Put on the hoseclamp fairly tight over the rubberbands...
Make sure the assembly fits into your sleeve still. Sux to find out later. Blue marker is to mark the tube where you need to pul the point.

Here's what I prepare before I start. 1 piece of 12 mil tubing with a 3" piece of 32mil tubing. 1 - 12 mil rod. 1 - 12mil blowtube, flared. 1pc. 50x2.3mm tubing about 7-8" long.
I weld the handle with the piece of 32 on it to the color rods. Hold whole assembly upside down, and remove hoseclamp and then the rubber bands. Remove wooden dowel. Slide whole assembly into Sleeve. Now switch the flame to the other end...
Make sure the sleeve hangs over where the color is welded by about an inch. I carefully weld three opposing spots of the end of the sleeve to the 32mil handle to hold it in place, Don't aim flame at the rods or they will sag inwards creating disaster..,
Switch the flame back to the other side and tear off the point handle. Start to melt from that end until you reach the other end where you tagged the sleeve earlier. Once I get there, I pop a hole opposite end and attach blowtube, and rip off 32mil/handle
Now it is a log of color. If done right, you will melt from one end to the other only once to get the air out. Once finished, I pull into halves, and pull these into tubing sections to use later.

Here's ALL the waste from 3 stck stacks if done right...

Ahh, I have my day cut out for me!!!
