When base tonal sounds are vibrated through sand or liquid they create patterns within the material. The science of producing, viewing, and understanding these patterns is known as "Cymatics". This science was pioneered by Swiss scientist Dr. Hans Jenny (1904 -1972). Every frequency of sound creates its own unique pattern. These patterns occur repeatedly through out nature. The base tonal vibration for all creation is the "Om" or "Aum" vibration.
Everything in the universe is made of vibrating energy. Every object or entity vibrates on its own unique frequency. All vibrating energy can be seen as light. This includes humans. We are vibrating light energy. There are points in the universe and on our earth where this energy is more focused and these points are known as vortices or vortex's. I find this information to be fascinating but I am new to most of it and my understanding of it is limited. Please feel free to contact me if I you have a greater understanding of any of this info. or for any reason a

Thank you for taking the time to check out this gallery. I spent my childhood in Grand Haven, Michigan. Shortly after earning a BA in film and video production from Grand Valley State University I realized that there was no way I was going to be able to express myself as an individual in the all consuming world of film. A desire to escape the influences of city life led my wife and I to the Blue Ridge Mountains of southern Virginia. Fortunately the art of lamworked glass found me. Over the past 7 years I have spent many hours trying to decifer the language of glass, figuring out why glass appeals to me, and how I can make it my own. I feel blessed to be working in such a limitless medium and hope to continue to do so for many years. I hope you like my creations. Blessings, Kenan
