In the Summer of 2005 Andrew Brown and I got together for the 2nd time at his studio in Kansas City. We really wanted to step outside the box, so we decided to forget the technique and focus on shapes. Andrew also got his hands on some crazy color boro blobs. These blobs weighed between 1-5 pounds each. I was afraid to use them at first, because they looked like they would blow up in the flame, but it went great. More Pics Coming Soon

This is a new direction in the ever changing collaboration work between myself and Andrew Brown. This piece has two dichroic galaxys in the center of the pedestal. The surface has been treated with metals and foils, then electroformed with fossilized megalodon and sharks teeth that are millions of years old. This was the second piece to come out of the newest series, with freeform sculpture and organic mixed media as the focus. Thanks for looking.

Here's another mixed media collaboration with Andrew Brown. I'm really excited about this piece and the new direction that Andrew and I are going. It's a solid sculpture: Sandbasted, Bernsteined (hot plated steel), Weathered, and Patinated.
If you haven't already, check out Alex Bernstein's work. He's the originator of hot plated steel on glass . Special Thanks to Harold Cooney for the Bernstein lesson.

Another piece from me and Andrew Brown. This one started last time we got together in KC, and sat waiting for the right time to get finished. This one features a large sculpted piece of boro with a bolt penetrating the hole in the middle.. The piece has been wrapped in copper wire and electroformed. The bolt and part of the fossilized teeth have been electroformed as well. A black brown patina was used to give a prehistoric feeling to the piece.. This is one more piece that is definately a push from the norm for both Andrew and myself. 9 1/4" tall and a little over 5 1/2" tooth to tooth.

I'm honored that Daniel's Dad has asked me to share these with everyone. The skateboard deck was painted in honor of Daniel by Keith a friend and colleague of Daniel's.
