A graduate w/ a BFA in Crafts/Material Studies from VCU, studied under Jack Wax (Furnace work) and Emilio Santini (Torch). I work both in the hot shop (from the furnace), and on the torch. A Lampworker since 2001, and working from the furnace since 2004.
I encourage comments and criticism, insight and foresight. Or inquiries as well.
Thank you.
(Expect major changes, and additions, in the upcoming months)

spent most of my last semester @ VCU working on glass hands. Must have made close to five hundred of them.
All hands made in the hot shop, assembled cold.
Also known as, the Hand Trophy.
Spring 2007.

First attempt at making, and then rolling up murrini. Not super tight or clean by any means, but there's something I like about it.
Rolled up around a white bubble, as you can see it didn't quite make it all the way around. Next time will be better.
Made @ VCU. the murrini was an attempt at making the bisco logo.

@ VCU, our professor Jack Wax had a saying for when a piece turned out the wrong way, or it would hit the floor. These pieces had been "claimed" by the Glass Gods.
This piece was kind of inspired by that, and by just wanting to make something big and crazy after I got home from Pilchuck last summer.
I don't have the dimensions on this @ the moment since it is packed away in a box, but I would guess this thing stands at about 20 inches, 12 inches across..
