Test piece from a class in Seattle. Our teacher gave each student the choice of either a bush in the corner of the small piece or a skeleton. I choose drawing a skeleton for detail and even with a dark subject the assignment was fun!

I have been newly introduced to glass fusing and slumping. The summer of 2003 I took a "Medieval Stained Glass Class". It was one week from 8:00 in the morning to however long we wanted to work each night. I had never done stained glass and found it captivating. From the class I took with me basic stained glass knowledge and glass painting techniques but more than that, a deep interest of glass art. In the past 18 months I found classes on the internet from Portland, to Everett and even Nelson, B.C.
I am currently experimenting with slumping and fusing. I love the different effect one can achieve when heating glass correctly. I have learned and not everything comes out well but from that I have learned. What fun, it's like Christmas everytime I open the kiln.
I’ve included some of my photos. I hope you enjoy.
