This is from a sketch I did the night before class in my hotel room.
The leaves are painted for depth then fired before leading into the piece.
The picture measures 18 x 20 inches.

I have been newly introduced to glass fusing and slumping. The summer of 2003 I took a "Medieval Stained Glass Class". It was one week from 8:00 in the morning to however long we wanted to work each night. I had never done stained glass and found it captivating. In the past 18 months I found classes on the internet from Portland, to Everett and even Nelson, B.C.
I am currently experimenting with slumping and fusing. I love the different effect one can achieve when heating glass correctly. I have learned and not everything comes out well but from that I have learned. What fun, it's like Christmas everytime I open the kiln.
I’ve included some of my photos. I hope you enjoy.
