So I've been attempting ways to create a holow marble. I've seen some and know it can be done. Are they closed hot? Are the pluged and then ground smooth? are they really easy and I'm a fool? Please... I need some insight. If I could say this slow like Jerry Sienfeld, "What is with these hollow marbles?"

I watched Tim Drier do an outside in technique that wound up with crocuses booming inside a hollow marble. I am not sure I can give you much info, but here is what I have...Close a tube, so that it looks like a test tube end. Decorate the end with spots or spirals or both. Heat evenly. The tube will collapse in on it's self and then seal it off. I am sure this is close to what he taught me, but you could try to contact him. He lives in Midland Michigan and blows glass for Dow chemical. He's wonderful at sharing info too. Love to see them when you get it figured out...
